peace—now:

Dec. 28:
Armenian and Greek Orthodox clergy and police scuffle and beat each other with brooms during the annual cleaning of the Church of the Nativity in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Every year, members of the two sects, along with parishioners and laypeople, clean the church. The Armenians and Greek Orthodox are always extra careful not to cross into each other’s territory, but this year they started arguing about stepping into each other’s areas, and began hitting each other with brooms. Palestinian police had to come between them.
